Director
Louise has always wanted to work with animals, and as a teenager had a variety of animal care jobs, before she decided to further her knowledge with an animal science degree. During her degree she discovered the world of animal rehabilitation and immediately knew it was the perfect career path for her.
Shortly after graduating she completed a small animal hydrotherapy qualification, and began work in a local hydrotherapy centre. She quickly developed a keen interest in treating complex neurology and orthopaedic cases, which led her to secure a job as an in-house hydrotherapist at a leading orthopaedics and neurology referral hospital. After several years of building complex case experience, and 2 years completing a postgraduate diploma in Veterinary Physiotherapy, she transferred these skills to becoming the in-house physiotherapist and hydrotherapist at a large canine rescue centre, working with all types of rehabilitation cases including those with additional complex behavioural needs. After 3 years balancing Forwards steps with the demands of rescue centre work, she decided to make Forward Steps her main physiotherapy employment, with a focus on mobile visits to provide physiotherapy in each animals home environment where they are settled and comfortable, to get the best out of their treatment

Louise is committed to continuing to learn and attends a number of conferences and courses regularly to keep up with new developments in the industry; and continue to provide top quality treatments.
